On Saturday, September 21, 2024, the workshop “Empowering Families: The Importance of English in Family Life” attracted many families to Library Jakarta, 4th Floor. This workshop was part of the Karya-Raya event, held from September 7 to 29. Parents and children made Family Trees by cutting, coloring, and introducing their family members in English. The goal was to encourage the use of English at home in a fun and educational way.
The workshop was designed to make English a part of everyday life and to help children learn English from an early age. One facilitator said, “We want English to be more than just a school subject.”
There was a special booth open from September 7 to 29, offering information about English programs and other fun activities. The event received positive feedback, inspiring families to use English more in daily conversations, and is expected to improve English skills and strengthen family relationships.
